37 Weeks...Full Term!

Weight Gain: 38 pounds.

Stretch Marks: I think the same ones are getting a little darker.

Movement: All the time. I've constantly got a heel poking out of my right side, it's really kind of creepy. haha.

Cravings: Dipped cones at DQ. Yum!!

Sleep: Not so great, I toss and turn all night.

Best moment this week: I'm feeling really good this week, actually a lot better than I have in the last month. Loving it!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Irregular Braxton Hicks contractions are continuing. I had a doctor appointment on Wednesday. Still 2cm, but am at 50% effaced and he said the baby has dropped some. The fundal height is measuring a week behind, the doctor doesn't have any reason to believe this baby will be a big boy. I still can't wrap my head around having an average sized baby after Hunter! lol

Maternity clothes: Of course.

What I miss: Being able to bend over and pick something up with ease. What was life like when not pregnant? I'm having a hard time remembering.

What I'm looking forward to: Jesse and I are going out to dinner tomorrow night for our FIVE year anniversary! Wow, time flies!

36 Weeks

Weight Gain: 37 pounds.

Stretch Marks: The same, unless my belly is just too big to see them on the underside.

Movement: All the time.

Cravings: Sweets and fruits. Same as usual.

Sleep: I've been waking up more throughout the night and having a hard time falling asleep. Last night was an exception, I could not keep my eyes open and fell asleep while working on this blog post.

Best moment this week: It's been a good one! Last night, I got the text that my friend Jessica had her baby boy!! I had my 36 week appointment and I am 2cm dilated and 30% effaced...making progress. And I've had a lot more energy, I have been going non-stop for the last few days!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Oh boy, yes. I thought yesterday might have been the day. First, TMI, but it's part of pregnancy updates, I lost part of my mucus plug yesterday afternoon. By later in the evening I was having regular contractions. And....then they slowed down. I'm okay with that, I just figure they are making more progress happen and will make labor easier when it comes!

Maternity clothes: Of course.

What I miss: Being able to bend over and pick something up with ease.

What I'm looking forward to: The baby shower/bbq our friends are throwing us tomorrow. I can't wait to celebrate this baby with our family and friends.

Two Giveaways!

I've been horrible at keeping up on this little space of mine lately. But... a lot of it is because I've been busy sewing away! I don't know how many baby blankets and burp cloths I've made in the last month, but I can say I'm loving it. Since I opened up my Etsy shop, I've had lots of interest and it's so much fun. I especially like doing custom blankets for people to match their child's interests or their nurseries. Picking out the unique fabric with people makes me so happy, because I know that it's exactly what they want!

So, two of my favorite local bloggers, turned real life friends!, are offering giveaways on their blogs. One is for a set of two chevron burp cloths and the other is for a custom blanket. Come check out their blogs and enter their giveaways.

Mandy's blog is so personal and honest. I really find myself relating to her through her blog and her experiences. She just had her second son a few months ago and her advice and experience so far has really helped me feel more prepared for what is to come with baby #2! She is giving away a set of two of my chevron burp cloths in a color of your choice!

And Melissa's blog is so fun and full of great ideas for decorating and doing unique projects. She is so inspirational! And she's gotta be one of the sweetest gals. I've been finding myself texting her on the regular for advice and insight on different things. She is giving away a custom baby blanket made by myself!

So, check out their blogs, enter the giveaways, and follow their blogs because they are both pretty awesome blogs and ladies!

35 Weeks

Weight Gain: 35 pounds. Yikes! If you gained a lot of weight when you were pregnant...please PLEASE feel free to comment and let me know it. All the blogs I've read talk about gaining 20-30lbs their entire pregnancies. Me...not so much. Make a girl feel a little better, k? Thanks!

Stretch Marks: I think they are the same ones I've had since Hunter, but they are getting a little darker and more visible as my skin is stretching.

Movement: Oh my, this boy is aggressive! I constantly am poking a knee back into place or trying to get a foot out of my ribs.

Cravings: Same as usual, sweets and fruit.

Sleep: I hope I don't jinx myself, but I've actually been sleeping pretty good this pregnancy! Sure, it takes me a little bit to get comfortable, but once I'm asleep, I sleep pretty darn good!

Best moment this week: Feeling better. So yeah, I have been pretty much non-existent lately because I had two weeks of a lot of painful and kind of scary contractions. If I was on my feet for more than twenty minutes, I was having them. The doctor told me to try to take it easy and drink lots of water, so I did. And the last two days I have felt a hundred times better. I've been cleaning, cooking, sewing, planning Hunter's birthday party in October, etc.

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Lots and lots of contractions. Feeling a lot of pressure down "there" and even some lower belly cramping.

Maternity clothes: The ones that still fit. Ha!

What I miss: Not feeling like a total beast.

What I'm looking forward to: Getting the nursery finished up and a baby shower that my friend Nicole is throwing for us next weekend!

Nordstrom Sale

The anniversary sale is something I look forward to every summer! When else can you get the brand new stuff on sale and a lot of time, brands that rarely go on sale?!

I even planned on this at the beginning of the year when thinking about our budget with me staying at home, ha! Well...I stayed a bit under my budget. I was a little disappointed with the sale selection this year...but I did find some things I just couldn't live without ;) I have a lot of fun shopping for Hunter during the sale, too!

Did you participate? Find anything you are thrilled about?? These are the things that I splurged on this year...

A Trip to the Ocean

A couple weekends ago, we had our timeshare at the ocean. With only a few days notice, Jesse was sent on a trip through the Pacific, and I thought our ocean plans were going to fall through. But...then I was feeling a bit adventurous and decided to take the trip with Hunter and the dogs. I was a little nervous being well into my third trimester and battling a toddler and two big dogs, but it worked out great. We headed out on Friday evening and spent the night watching movies and relaxing. We both stayed up past our bedtime and slept in rather late, too.

In the morning, we headed out to breakfast. Hunter ate the crap out of some pancakes and bacon, while I sat and enjoyed my oatmeal and coffee. Later in the morning, my parents, brother, and sister in law showed up to spend the day with us. We had a great time playing on the beach. Hunter built sand castles, ran around with the dogs, and had fun finding dead crabs. Ick.

I don't think the dogs are happier anywhere else than being free to run on the beach. They had a great time. It was Lucy's first time out there and I think Henry enjoyed the company.

Later we went into town and got some salt water taffy (because, duh!) and then had dinner before my family left. Hunter and I spent another relaxing evening in the condo watching movies and eating taffy (duh).

The next morning we made multiple trips out to the ocean through the walking trail in the back of the condo, with the dogs. I wasn't feeling very capable of handling walking both dogs and watching Hunter, so I had to take them out one at a time throughout the morning and early afternoon.

What is a trip to the ocean without getting ice cream, right?? So, I took Hunter after lunch to a ice cream shop in Ocean Shores. He insisted on wanting "pink" ice cream.

After ice cream, we met up with my dad's family that came out to spend the rest of the week at the condo. We made another trip out to the beach with the dogs and then went out for a yummy fish and chip dinner.

It was a great weekend and I'm so glad I decided to go, even though Jesse wasn't able to join us. It was some much needed time with Hunter before we add another little boy into the mix. Precious memories were made and you can't replace those :)
