27 Weeks AND 3rd Trimester!

Weight Gain: 23 pounds

Stretch Marks: Same ole ones.

Movement: Yup! Hunter likes to rest his head on my stomach while watching cartoons in the morning and notices every time the baby moves. He usually says "Hey! That baby kick me!" or "Baby is moving in there!"

Cravings: It's almost embarrassing how many green grapes I've been eating in the last month. I go through the Costco container in about five days. Yum!

Sleep: Hit or miss. I've struggled with some anxiety a couple nights the last week. Been woken up with bad dreams or thinking that something is happening that isn't. For example, Hunter threw up several times yesterday, poor buddy. :( Well, last night I kept dreaming that Hunter was in our bed and was throwing up. I jumped out of bed and turned on the light to clean it up...and of course, Hunter was sound asleep in HIS room. I do this type of stuff often and it annoys the crap out of Jesse. Sorry :(

Best moment this week: Starting the last trimester!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Still feeling small contractions. My body is getting ready! :)

Maternity clothes: Umm, yeah!

What I miss: Not a lot. Feeling pretty good!

What I'm looking forward to: Joe and Nicole's gender reveal party tonight. They are some of our best friends and I am SO excited to find out if they will be having a little boy or girl!

And.... my friend Aly is having a closet sale! She is selling tons of her designer jeans and other clothes. She has great style and super cute clothes, so go check it out!

Camping

A couple weekends ago, we took Hunter camping for the first time. A bunch of Jesse's hunting buddies were going out to the Potholes, near Moses Lake for an event and we decided to make a weekend out of it. We ended up having a great time, despite some crazy weather. I'm pretty sure Hunter had the time of his life and made lots of new friends (even though he was the only kid out there all weekend!)

Highlights of the trip included some yummy food, Hunter catching his first fish (a large mouth bass), a trip to see some waterfalls, Jesse saving a friends flag from the bottom of the lake with a fishing pole, and Hunter's first poop in the open. Haha.

The wind was between 20 and 40 mph all day on Saturday, it was crazy! A couple of the tents got knocked down and since we camped on a sand dune island, we got plenty of sand in our eyes! But we made the best of it and made some great family memories.

Jesse made this video of the trip.

26 Weeks

Weight Gain: 22 big ones.

Stretch Marks: Same ole ones.

Movement: Yup, baby boy is getting bigger and stronger, I can tell!

Cravings: Sandwiches with avocados and cucumbers! Gotta find some sprouts and then it'll be perfect.

Sleep: Really good still. Surprisingly, I don't get up in the night to pee. I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable and have to roll from one side to the other often, but doesn't seem to interrupt my sleep much. I keep telling Jesse that it's just a matter of a couple weeks until the big maternity pillow will be joining us in bed. ;)

Best moment this week: Staying active! Hunter and I have gone to Stroller Strides, walked Capitol Lake twice, and did a short hike...all in the last four days. I'm really enjoying being back to this area. There are so many things to keep us busy!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs: Just starting to feel small contractions. My body is getting ready! :)

Maternity clothes: Umm, yeah! The only thing non-maternity that I still wear are my Lululemon pants. I have two pairs that still fit and I practically live in!

What I miss: Having a waist...Yup, still missing that one. And my butt not looking as big as my pregnant belly. Ugh.

What I'm looking forward to: Doctor's appointment on Monday morning. I always look forward to hearing his heartbeat. But...it's also the dreaded glucose test for gestational diabetes. I am actually kind of nervous about failing it. I seem to be gaining 1-2lbs every single week no matter how careful I am.

I'm also looking forward to getting our vegetable garden planted in our raised flower beds. We have to get some garden soil this weekend to fill them more and then we should be set to get planting!!

I've had a few people ask where I get my maternity clothes so thought I would start adding where I got the clothes in my bump pictures.

The Move

First of all, please ignore my poor grammar and structure of these postss for a little bit longer. Blogging on my phone is not a favorite thing of mine to do...but still don't have the Internet set up.

Well...we made it to our "old new house". If you didn't catch that, we moved back to the first house we bought, which we have rented out the last three years. It feels so good to be "home"! That's truly what it feels like!

We still have quite a few boxes to unpack, but it's steadily coming together! We've been working hard putting furniture back together, unpacking, organizing, etc.

The condition of the yard was horrendous when we moved in! There were weeds everywhere and the trees and bushes were out of control! We hired someone to give the outside a little TLC and it's so much better.

Here is our work in progress. Still needs some work, but we'll get there :)

Kids and Dogs

Let's talk about having both. I posted some pictures on Instagram and FB last night, that I have to admit, were pretty darn cute of them both. But it made me think...maybe I should blog about the reality of it.

It's not all fun and cute. I really love my dogs, especially Henry. But it's HARD after you have kid(s)! On a almost daily basis, when Jesse gets home from work, I threaten to give them away (mostly joking).

They can get very overwhelming! Lucy is still in the crazy puppy stage. She takes food out of Hunter's hand, table, counter, etc. It's not uncommon for me to have to make Hunter's lunch again after Lucy has gotten ahold of the first. Henry is very territorial and barks in the backyard whenever he hears people close by. Jesse puts them outside when he leaves for work and most days I am running outside to go being them in because Henry is barking to early, in my opinion, to be courteous of our neighbors.
And the dog hair! Ugh, it's everywhere! A day doesn't usually go by without me sweeping, vacuuming, or wiping down surfaces because of it.
But...to us, it's all worth it. I am so thankful to have such good pups. Henry has learned to adore Hunter. He hated kids before Hunter was born. So we were pleasantly surprised to see such a change in him as Hunter has gotten older. Henry often walks by Hunter and gives him one lick on the cheek. Henry is the dog that Jesse and I both claim is "my" dog. He curls up on the bed with me for a few minutes every morning and night and promptly leaves with a easy "get down".
Lucy is a true kids dog. She is the one that any child could sit on, pull her tail, squirt her with water guns, or do anything to, and her tail would be wagging and loving every minute. She has a very different place in our heart. Henry is individually all or our favorites (I know, it's not fair!) but Lucy is our family dog. She's the one we would take take camping or to the park. She comes when told to, doesn't ever run off, and can be trusted with all kids and strangers.
So, yeah, I understand why people rehome their dogs after having kids! I dream about it often ;) But, in the end, we love having both and it's worth every bit of stress and extra work.

Jesse is active duty Air Force and is originally from southern Minnesota. He has also managed to become a follower of just about every hobby known to man (which drives his wife crazy!).

Henry was born on July 4, 2007. His hobbies include playing with his squeaker toys, barking a little girls, dock jumping, going to the dog park, and being spoiled rotten by his grandparents.
