I love Christmastime, so it's not because of that. It is because it is hunting season. This means I get to spend even less time than usual with Jesse.
I'll be honest, hunting season seems to be the biggest struggle in our marriage. I feel like Hunter and I take a backseat to shooting ducks and geese and I just don't get it. I want more family time. It just seems like Jesse is gone so much for work and then to throw this on top of it, it's just too much. :(
Jesse does stay home when he needs to. And he's gotten better about not going all weekend every weekend. Maybe I am just being needy. But I really do not like November-January all that well.

Week in iPhones Pics - Week 2
So yeah, I know I have been a bit absent in my blogging. But I swear, I have a great excuse! Jesse and I had our 2 nephews and niece from Tuesday evening until Saturday. So yeah, that made our hands full with FOUR kids! It was so much fun. The kids played together so wonderfully and it gave me an excuse to plan fun activities!
Jesse came home last Sunday after being in New Zealand and Antarctica for a month.
Monday and Tuesday were pretty uneventful, as they were long work days. fBut come Tuesday night, things got eventful! :)
I managed to only take one picture on Thanksgiving... and of course it was of dessert!
On Friday, we spent the day decorating the tree and then went to Fantasy Lights! The kids loved it! :)

My Week in iPhone Pictures
I'm linking up with Amy over at A Good Life Blog with her week in iPhone pictures. I love this idea because it keeps me taking pictures throughout eachday and it will be neat to be able to look back at the everyday moments in our lives. Check out her blog, you'll love it and her! :)
I realized that I really only take pictures when it's just Hunter and I. I promise I wasn't a hermit all week! I did actually go to work, see my family, and hung out with a few friends! I promise I will get better at this. :)
The stockings for all my nephews, neices and Hunter came from PBK in the mail! There are going to be going up at my parents house every year. :)

In the Christmas Mood...
So, I will admit it... I am kind of cheating on Thanksgiving by being ready for Christmas already. I've already completed over half of my shopping and am eagerly counting down the days until I get to put the Christmas tree and decorations up in our house (6 days).
I LOVE reading about what other blogger want for Christmas because it gives me new ideas about things that are out there! So I thought I would do the same by sharing what I would love to find in my stocking this year. I think Jesse and I have decided only to do stocking for each other this year, so that's kind of way some of them might seem a bit spendy for a stocking! :)
Starting from the top left:
Starbucks K-cups, Hunter socks to go in my rain boots, cute nail files, iTunes gift card, Hanky Panky underwear, grey nail polish, Real Simple magazine subscription, Mac blush (perferably a pink or coral color), Bobbi Brown lip gloss, Starbucks gift card (duh), Erin Condren iphone cover, Benefit tinted moisturizer, raw hazlenuts (yummy!), Victoria's Secret dryer sheets (if they are even half as amazing at their detergent, I'll be thrilled!), strawberry sour belts, and of course I would LOVE to make a baby in December! ;)
Hope I made it super easy for my hubby!! :)

It's Okay Thursday!
It's time for It’s Okay Thursday with Amber over at Brunch with Amber!
- It’s okay to feed your kid chicken nuggets a few times a week. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do when your hubby is out of town and you are working a full time job and a part time job.
- It’s okay to be indecisive about what you want to do in the future. You’ll know when it becomes the present. J
- It’s okay to spend a few hours every night catching up on tv shows that you missed while on vacation.
- It’s okay to be in the Christmas spirit before Thanksgiving.
- It’s okay that I am so excited for our cross country move and be a little sad that it’s not for another six months! I love adventures!
- It’s okay that after two months of trying, I’m still not pregnant. It will happen in God’s time. (I’m totally aware that two months is hardly enough time to gripe!)

What I'm Loving Wednesday
It’s been forever since I’ve done a link up and thought it would be good for me to focus on the positive things that I’m loving in life right now.
- Christmas shopping. Yes, I know I am early, but I am already half way done with my Christmas shopping. I just love giving gifts, so it’s hard for me to wait to shop!
- I’m loving the idea that in six months or less, I will be done working and will get to spend all my days with my amazing little boy. I seriously don’t know if I can hold out for six months….it feels just about unbearable to wait any longer these days.
- I love eggnog lattes. I have become a regular drive thru customer at the Starbucks on the way to work.
- I love my husband. I’ve hardly gotten to talk to him since Hunter and I left New Zealand and I am REALLY missing him. I can’t wait to spend the long Thanksgiving weekend with him, Hunter, and my nephews and niece.
- I am loving the great deals that I have gotten at the Gap in the last week. I overspent, but I had a 40% of my entire purchase coupon at the regular Gap and a 30% of entire purchase at Gap and Banana Republic outlet stores.
- I am ABSOLUTELY loving the fact that Hunter has been eating, like really eating, for over a week straight now! For the last six months or so, he has shown no interest in eating. I was lucky to get him to take more than a few bites at each meal. The doctor reassured me that he would grow out of it, and he has!!! This morning he ate three pieces of bacon, half a banana, and a handful of raspberries. Within an hour later he opened the fridge and asked for cheese and then later proceeded to eat a kid’s cliff bar as well.

New Zealand Wrap Up
So, I haven't finished blogging about our trip to New Zealand, and so I felt like I wasn't ready to move on the regular ole blogging. So here is a recap of the rest of our two and a half week trip to New Zealand. :)
You already saw pictures from our trip to Willowbank Wildlife Refuge and also some from Hanmer Springs and the wineries.
Here are a couple more pics that I love from the winery. Hunter and Jesse were just hamming it up for the camera.
Our big activity while we were out there was a road trip to Queenstown! It's about a six hour drive from Christchurch to Queenstown, but we were excited for a little time on the road!
On the way there we stopped at Lake Tekapo. It was stunning!
We scored on finding a place to stay in Queenstown. The Pepper's resort where we were staying in Christchurch, called their resort in Queenstown, and got up a 1 bedroom lake view apartment, for only... $140/night. We looked it up online and they were going for around $400! We got there and were amazed by the room but mostly the fabulous view from the balcony!
We soooo enjoyed our time in Queenstown. We walked around the town, went on a steamboat to an island where there was a farm tour, went up the gondola, and then went on the luge ride down!
I probably have a few more cool pics I'll want to share, but these just got a whole lot of them of my shoulders. Maybe now I can move on the some regular blogging :)

Not A Care in the World
Towards the beginning of our trip, we took a day and drove out to Hanmer Springs. It's a quaint little town with nautrual hot springs, just north of Christchurch, NZ. We all had fun relaxing in the warm pools and hot tubs. Hunter and Jesse played, jumped, and just enjoyed each other like fathers and sons should. And I did what moms should take the time to do more often, sit back and just enjoy the beautiful sight of their son and husband.
On the way back from the springs, we stopped at a couple of wineries. The second one had beautiful grounds full of grassy hills and ponds. Jesse taught Hunter to roll down the hills and then I had to get in on the action, too.
